2018 Goals and Bucket List

Posted on April 5, 2018 by See Hatsie • 1 Comment

I’m a big believer in resolutions.  I like the fresh-start aspect of the whole thing, taking time at the beginning of a new year to take stock of the previous year and plan with intention the coming months. I don’t buy into the notion that resolutions are about counting one’s deficits or setting oneself up … Continue reading →

Plan: I Resolve 2015

Posted on January 10, 2015 by See Hatsie • 1 Comment

Looking forward!  For the fifth year, I’ve publicly posted my resolutions on this site, on January 10th, in hopes of keeping myself accountable.  My logic being that if it’s out in the world and not just in my head, I’ll actually do the things I say I will.  I’m going about setting my intentions … Continue reading →

Plan: 2014 Report Card

I’ve thought a lot about this post, and about what I wanted to say.  Every year, I reflect and share my thoughts on the past year, taking stock of the resolutions I’ve set, how I did, and how I feel about them one year later.  Every year this is an easy, and enjoyable, task. … Continue reading →

I mentioned yesterday that I’m doing some reflection this week in anticipation of my yearly resolutions coming this weekend.  I like to take some time to look back, take note, and celebrate the past year.  This blog was one of the biggest things I wanted to focus on this year and it went through a … Continue reading →

My foray into blogging started 5 years ago, a fact I just had to look up because I feel like it’s simultaneously been no more than a month and also like I’ve been doing this forever.  I started TwoRecipes.com with a post on January 10, 2010 with one goal: to actually keep a resolution.  … Continue reading →

List: 27 Things I know at 27

Today is my 27th birthday and boy is it a good one.  I’ve been showered with love and I’m feeling every minute of it.  I’m bringing you a list of things I know to be true about myself and my world after 27 years on this earth.  It’s short, it’s incomplete, and it’s good for … Continue reading →

Plan: I Resolve 2013

Posted on January 10, 2013 by See Hatsie • Leave a comment

I like goal setting.  It appeals to my organized, list-obsessed side.  This is the same side that makes me anxious if I go to the grocery store without a list and a pen so I can cross off items as I find them.  I’ve absolutely used lipstick before because I found myself in an alternate … Continue reading →

I just finished reading The Dinner List by @rebecca_serle and loved it. The main character shows up to her birthday party and the five people, living or dead, that she would love to have dinner with are there waiting for her. This of course sparked many a fun conversation around my house. Who would be on my list? I came up with a pretty comfortable list of 5, and Ernest Hemingway was close to the top. He had his issues but the man could write. (And eat and drink and love and travel and be wholly alive) 🖊 who would be on your #dinnerlist ? . . . . #bulletjournal #typecorganizer #leuchtturm1917 #bujo #planner #planwithme #getorganized #handlettering #tombow #brushpens #bujoideas #bulletjournalcommunity #bujolove #bujoinspiration #bujodoodles #letteringlove #bulletjournaladdict #bulletjournallove #bulletjournaljunkies #practicaloverperfect #iloveprettynotes #showmeyourplanner #bujotracker #bujobeauty #thedinnerlist #rebeccaserle #hemingway #hemingwayquotes
After winning the best wine at a blind tasting party, our dad scoured the city to have it at this years Christmas and, well, taking a picture with our doodle seemed appropriate 🐶🍷🐶🍷 @sandwichthedoodle we are coming your way in March and @smithstorywines is the only thing we have for sure on the itinerary so far! Bucks not coming unfortunately. #sandwichthedoodle #doodlesofdfw #doodlesofinstagram
I’m giving away all of my favorite #bulletjournal supplies over on my Instagram account @type_c_organizer because it’s about to be birthday week and I’m spreading the celebration around! If you’ve been interested in getting started with Bullet journaling, this is basically everything you need, plus these are all my absolute favorite things. Head over to @type_c_organizer to see how to enter!

I’ve been working on a fun new project! I decided since most of my favorite conversations are about creativity, organization, and journaling, id lean into that and keep it all in one place. Check out @type_c_organizer for my tips, tricks, insights, and some good ol pen nerd content! #bulletjournal #typecorganizer

Today I completed my #100dayproject. The heart of the project is to create everyday and then share it with the rest of the community of creators. But for me I was trying something new, entirely experimental. On a lark I tried poetry because it is interesting and new, but I also I wanted to see if I was the kind of artist who created for feedback, or created simply because it delights me. So part of my challenge was to not post any of them and see if I could stick with it. Writing every day regardless of inspiration wasn’t easy and some of these poems aren’t great but I wrote 100 of them and next week I start an online poetry course to learn more. Anyway, 100 days of anything feels worth posting. My first poem was titled “begin” and today’s was titled “begin again”. I hope I remember that every day I’m a beginner.
Drinks or dranks? Happy 4th of July!
