Wear: Winter Pastels

Winter-Pastels

I’ve been so excited by icy pastels for Winter.  While pastel is traditionally worn in Spring, there’s something so cozy, warm, and sweet about pairing a soft pink textured coat with an otherwise wintry outfit.

These images are serving as inspiration points for me to gently add this trend into my daily routine.  I love the idea of a pastel coat, but haven’t made the plunge because I don’t know how much longevity it could have.  However, the good thing about a trend like this is that you can work it into your existing style with ease.  I especially love that pale blue + black combination, and am equally intrigued with mixing the sweetest pink color with oxblood pants.

What do you think?  Should pastels stay where they belong, in floral prints for Spring brunches?  Or do you think rules are meant to be broken?  I’m leaning towards the latter, because that’s more fun!
